INC Completion Rules & Policy

POLICY SUMMARY: INC Completion Rules

INC = missed final exam only.

1. When is an INC given?

A student receives an INC (Incomplete) grade only if he or she fails to take the scheduled final exam for the subject. No other reason qualifies for an INC.

2. 10-day grace period

Students are given 10 days from the final exam date to initiate the INC completion process. Failure to do so will result in the Final Exam score being recorded as zero, and the student's final grade will be recomputed accordingly, following college policy.

3. Special Final Exam

If you process your INC within the 10 days period, you will be allowed to take a special final exam administered through the Academic Affairs Office.

4. 15% deduction

Your special exam score will be computed with a 15% deduction before grade computation: net score = raw score × 0.85.
Your special exam score will undergo a 15% deduction before it is used in the grade computation (net score = raw score × 0.85). Please note that completing the INC process does not automatically mean you will pass the course. Your final standing will still depend on the computed grade after applying the special exam score and all other grading components. Whether you pass or fail will be based on the resulting final grade.

Please ensure you understand these rules before submitting your INC completion request.
